Auchentoroly
A violent murder brings an OG criminal out of retirement to avenge the death of his daughter. Once back in Baltimore after years in hiding, he reunites with an old partner to solve the case and bring vengeance on a young couple unaware they have no future. When the end comes, it comes with swiftness in a quiet neighborhood in west Baltimore.
1968
Two young women in tough marriages, one white, one black, form a friendship in the aftermath of the riots after the King assassination in 1968. They each have their first child and continue to hold their marriages together while finding time to build a bond. They have one meeting with their baby sons and move through their early years of motherhood from an unintended distance.
1986
It is eighteen years later and the two women who met in 1968 have maintained their friendship and raised their sons and lived stable and fulfilling lives. On the eve of the boys’ high school graduations, the women make plans while their sons plan a trip to the beach. Unbeknownst to all, the city of Baltimore is about to be hit with a disaster.
The Mayor of Our Discontent
A former mayor of Baltimore, who left office in scandal, returns in his elder years and establishes a friendship with a restaurant manager. After a major health event, he manipulates a loan out of his trusting friend. Making promises he has no plans to keep, the mayor once again leaves the city in scandal with more personal impact this time.
Happy Hour
A young woman working at a small company in Baltimore sends texts to her mother every few weeks detailing her daily life. She recounts events and relationships amongst a mix of 20-somethings enjoying life in the city. On one fateful trip, she is confronted with the brevity of life in one last text.
Snow Angels
Three friends take a road trip from Baltimore for one of them to rekindle a romance with a girl who lives in upstate New York. Once there, they attend an awkward party and then get trapped in an empty house after a sudden blizzard. The adventure becomes a bond for them that ends in a stinging reality.
The Tide is High
A man recounts his job history leading up to a unique job on a dinner cruise ship that sails around the Baltimore harbor. Surrounded by unique personalities, he works hard to make the best of mediocre choices. In the end, he accepts a piece of advice on what a job actually delivers.
Thaiphoon
A young couple have a date in a Thai restaurant in downtown Baltimore. The menu and the meal is a revelation to the man on the date and enhances his growing love for his date. Over the meal, the woman shares a painful story that seals the man’s commitment to be with her.
The Two Scamps
A family makes the painful decision to put their dog to sleep. For the two brothers, it is the second dog they have lost in their young lives. The events of the day cast a shadow on another important event of the day.
Through the Door
A man visits his childhood home. As he walks through the rooms, he is flooded with memories long buries. Ultimately, he must accept the reality that the home he once knew is gone forever.
Brutally Honest
An act of violence erupts on an otherwise peaceful day in a Baltimore rowhome as two siblings play in the basement. The brutality of it is not fully realized until days later. As an adult, one sibling reflects on the meaning of the event that has never left his memory decades later.
